Email application

I.Instructions

E-mail accounts are primarily used to send and receive e-mail and facilitate communications related to university affairs and exchanges between teachers and students; each person may apply for one account.

Students need not apply for an e-mail account and may log into their account for the first time using the following username and password:

Account: Student ID number
Password: Ntunhs + the last three digits of your ID number

II.Who may apply for an account?

NTUNHS faculty members, employees, students, and project staff may apply for an e-mail account.

III.When can I apply for an account?

Applications may be accepted and processed during working hours.

IV.How do I apply for an account?

Please download the “E-mail account application form” from the Computer Center website. Once you have filled out the application form, the application form must be signed and approved by your department or unit supervisor before submission to the Computer Center for processing.

Applications are accepted and processed during working hours. Once the application has been reviewed and approved by the Computer Center, the applicant shall receive a memo or telephone call notifying them about the activation of their account.

V.How long will my account remain in service?

E-mail accounts will remain in service for faculty members and staff until three months after their term of service ends. For students, e-mail accounts will remain active until the day after they receive a notification from the Office of Academic Affairs’ Registration Division regarding their suspension of studies, graduation, or withdrawal. For project staff, e-mail accounts will remain active until completion of their project. If an extension is required, the Computer Center must be notified.

VI.How often should I change my e-mail password?

Passwords must be changed regularly to prevent the theft of your e-mail account. The following principles related to password configuration must be adhered to:

  1. Your password should not be the same as your account, and you should avoid setting up single English words as passwords.
  2. Your password should include a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special symbols (such as !, @, and #) and be no less than 8 characters in length.
  3. To change your password, please log into your NTUNHS e-mail account (URL: https://webmail.ntunhs.edu.tw), then go to “Personal settings,” “Inbox security,” and “Change password.”

VII.Forgotten password

If you forget your e-mail password, please visit the Computer Center during working hours or call the campus extensions 2220 or 2225 to request a password reset. Once your password has been reset, please log into your account and change your password as quickly as possible. Thank you.
