Domain-validated certificates (HTTPS)
The Computer Center of NTUNHS implemented the Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) on all NTUNHS outward-facing websites. Domain-validated certificates (*.ntunhs.edu.tw) are provided exclusively for the use of NTUNHS units and departments for their outward-facing websites. These domain-validated certificates must be installed separately on the website servers of the respective unit or department to ensure the encrypted and secure transmission of website data.
Usage
Domain names must adhere to the domain-validated certificate (*.ntunhs.edu.tw) format—for example, test.ntunhs.edu.tw. However, domain names such as www.test.ntunhs.edu.tw and abc.test.ntunhs.edu.tw do not match the certificate format and cannot be used.
Precautions
- Unit website administrators may apply to the Computer Center’s Information Network Division to acquire a certificate.
- After the certificate has been installed, the administrators must check whether the Google Chrome web browser displays a lock icon indicating a secure connection and whether the website automatically switches from HTTP to HTTPS.
Point of contact
To acquire a certificate or in case of any queries, please call the campus extension 2220.
